Say "NO" to ALL Gun Registration Schemes
Petition to My Elected Officials:
WHEREAS, so-called “Universal Background Checks” is nothing more than a universal gun registration scheme, forcing every firearm purchase and transfer through the Brady-NICS Gun Ban Registry and requiring government pre-approval for Texans to exercise their Second Amendment rights; and
WHEREAS, such schemes would criminalize ordinary, law-abiding activity -- including loaning a firearm to a friend for the range or hunting -- unless first processed through a government database; and
WHEREAS, the Biden Administration and ATF already attempted an unconstitutional power grab by seeking to ban all private sales through a backdoor rule redefining who is “engaged in the business” as a firearm dealer, further expanding the reach of the NICS Gun Ban Registry; and
WHEREAS, history proves that every registry is nothing more than the first step toward outright confiscation, and gun owners must reject any and all attempts to expand federal tracking or cataloguing of firearms;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, the undersigned, urge my elected officials to say NO to all gun registration schemes — including so-called Universal Background Checks, NICS expansion, and any ATF backdoor rule changes. Texas Gun Rights will keep me informed of your actions
Message from the President
Fellow Patriot,
The gun confiscation lobby calls it “Universal Background Checks.” But the truth is simple: it’s the Left’s first step toward confiscation.
This dangerous scheme would force every firearm purchase and transfer through the Brady-NICS Gun Ban Registry — giving the government pre-approval power over your Second Amendment rights.
Loan a gun to a friend for the range or hunting without going through NICS? You’re a criminal.
Sell a firearm privately as Texans have always done? Also a crime.
Biden’s ATF even tried to ban ALL private sales with an unconstitutional rule change — redefining who counts as a “dealer in firearms.”
Gun owners know that registration is only the first step toward outright confiscation. That’s why we must stop every attempt to expand the NICS Gun Ban Registry. Period.
Sign your petition to tell your elected officials: NO Universal Gun Registration and NO NICS expansion schemes.
And if you’re able, please consider chipping in $10 or even $50 to help Texas Gun Rights continue fighting against this dangerous scheme.
For Texas and Liberty,

Chris McNutt
President, Texas Gun Rights
