WHEREAS, the so-called National Firearms Act (NFA) has, for nearly a century, imposed unconstitutional taxes, endless delays, and invasive federal oversight on law-abiding Americans simply trying to exercise their God-given right to keep and bear arms; and

WHEREAS, the NFA treats suppressors—vital safety tools for hearing protection—as contraband, while criminalizing short-barreled rifles (SBRs) and other common firearms, despite states like Texas already recognizing their legitimacy; and

WHEREAS, the NFA has been the ATF’s favorite weapon of abuse, empowering unelected bureaucrats to reclassify bump stocks, pistol braces, forced reset triggers, and 80% lowers at the stroke of a pen, turning countless gun owners into “criminals” overnight; and

WHEREAS, anti-gun politicians are doubling down with schemes like H.R. 3944, which would have imposed a staggering $4,709 transfer tax on firearms — proving the NFA is not about “safety,” but about crushing the Second Amendment;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the undersigned, demand Congress pass H.R. 335 to fully repeal the NFA, dismantle the ATF’s unconstitutional authority. Texas Gun Rights will keep me informed of your actions.

Fellow Patriot,

For nearly a century, the so-called National Firearms Act (NFA) has been used as a weapon against law-abiding gun owners.

The NFA slaps outrageous taxes, endless delays, and invasive federal oversight on ordinary Americans who simply want to exercise their God-given right to keep and bear arms.

Suppressors — vital safety tools that protect hearing and reduce noise complaints — are treated like contraband. The ATF forces gun owners to fork over hundreds of dollars and wait months or even years just to own one.
Short-barreled rifles (SBRs) and other firearms are demonized by Washington bureaucrats, even though Texas already recognized their legitimacy by removing them from the state’s prohibited weapons list. If Texas can see the absurdity of banning SBRs, why is Washington still trampling the rights of gun owners?
The NFA has been the ATF’s primary excuse for decades of abuse — reclassifying bump stocks, pistol braces, forced reset triggers, and more at the stroke of a pen.

And now, gun-grabbers like Sen. Chris Murphy want to go even further with schemes like H.R. 3944, which would have imposed a jaw-dropping $4,709 transfer tax on firearms.

That’s not “safety.” That’s tyranny.
