PROTECT SELF-DEFENDERS — PASS KYLE’S LAW
Petition to: Governor Greg Abbott, My State Senator, and My State Representative
WHEREAS: The right to self-defense is the foundation of the Second Amendment, guaranteeing every Texan the ability to protect their life, family, and property; and
WHEREAS: Under current Texas law, even innocent Texans who are cleared after acting in lawful self-defense can still be dragged into costly, abusive civil lawsuits; and
WHEREAS: These lawsuits are often used as a weapon to financially destroy law-abiding citizens for defending themselves;
THEREFORE: As your constituent, I demand you PASS Kyle’s Law to protect self-defenders, grant full civil immunity to justified use of force, and STOP the abuse of our legal system against innocent Texans. I will be watching your actions closely.
Message from the President
Fellow Patriot,
Imagine defending your life — or your family’s life — and doing everything right.
The police investigate.
A grand jury clears you.
You’re found innocent.
Your nightmare should be over.
But in Texas, it’s just beginning.
Because even after you’re cleared…
You can still be dragged into court and sued for everything you have.
Years of legal battles.
Crushing attorney fees.
Financial ruin — for the “crime” of surviving.
That’s not justice.
That’s a broken system.
And it’s happening right now to Texans like Kyle Carruth.
That’s why Kyle’s Law is so important.
This bill would:
- Protect self-defenders from civil lawsuits
- Presume innocence when charges are dismissed or no-billed
- Allow victims to recover their legal costs
In other words — it ensures that if you act lawfully, you are protected.
Because if you can’t defend your life without being financially destroyed…
You don’t truly have the right to self-defense at all.
That’s why your petition is so critical.
Sign your petition right now to demand Texas lawmakers PASS Kyle’s Law.
After you sign, I hope you’ll consider chipping in to help Texas Gun Rights mobilize Texans and push this legislation across the finish line.
For Texas and Liberty,

Chris McNutt
President, Texas Gun Rights
