Abolish the ATF & Repeal the NFA

Petition to My Elected Officials in Washington

WHEREAS, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) has a long and bloody history of abuse, from Waco and Ruby Ridge to the botched Fast and Furious gun-running scandal that armed cartels and left a U.S. Border Patrol agent dead; and

WHEREAS, in recent years the ATF has unconstitutionally reclassified bump stocks, pistol braces, forced reset triggers, and 80% lowers — instantly criminalizing millions of law-abiding Americans through bureaucratic fiat; and

WHEREAS, the ATF has weaponized its “zero-tolerance” policy to shut down family-owned Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) over minor clerical errors, while simultaneously digitizing nearly a billion gun records in direct violation of federal law — laying the foundation for a national gun registry; and

WHEREAS, the ATF routinely acts as if it were Congress, writing rules with the weight of law, despite having no constitutional authority to legislate, and uses the unconstitutional National Firearms Act (NFA) as its primary tool to expand power and attack lawful gun owners;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, the undersigned, urge you to support the complete abolition of the ATF and the full repeal of the NFA — tearing down this unconstitutional regime root and branch and restoring the Second Amendment’s plain promise that the right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.”

The ATF is an out-of-control, rogue agency that has spent decades trampling your Second Amendment rights under the guise of “enforcement.”

The National Firearms Act (NFA) -- an unconstitutional law from a bygone era that gives unelected bureaucrats the power to dictate which guns, accessories, and parts you’re “allowed” to own.

In fact, the ATF has abused the NFA to make numerous federal “rules” that have been overturned by the courts -- including TWO protecting Texas Gun Rights members from the ATF's ban on pistol stabilizing braces and forced reset triggers.

But their rules have criminalized MILLIONS overnight.

Not only that, but they’re also digitizing nearly a billion firearm records -- creating what looks a lot like a national gun registry (something that federal law specifically prohibits).

And they continue enforcing the NFA as a political weapon to intimidate gun owners and expand their own power.

Let’s be honest: The ATF isn’t broken. It’s doing exactly what it was created to do -- disarm you, one rule change at a time.

But if we don't repeal the NFA as we Abolish the ATF, any other three letter agency is all but guaranteed to continue abusing it in a war on gun owners under future administrations.

If you believe the Second Amendment means exactly what it says -- "shall not be infringed" –- I’m asking you to do two things right now:
