Petition to My Elected Officials in Washington

WHEREAS, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) has a long and bloody history of abuse, from Waco and Ruby Ridge to the botched Fast and Furious gun-running scandal that armed cartels and left a U.S. Border Patrol agent dead; and

WHEREAS, in recent years the ATF has unconstitutionally reclassified bump stocks, pistol braces, forced reset triggers, and 80% lowers — instantly criminalizing millions of law-abiding Americans through bureaucratic fiat; and

WHEREAS, the ATF has weaponized its “zero-tolerance” policy to shut down family-owned Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) over minor clerical errors, while simultaneously digitizing nearly a billion gun records in direct violation of federal law — laying the foundation for a national gun registry; and

WHEREAS, the ATF routinely acts as if it were Congress, writing rules with the weight of law, despite having no constitutional authority to legislate, and uses the unconstitutional National Firearms Act (NFA) as its primary tool to expand power and attack lawful gun owners;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, the undersigned, urge you to support the complete abolition of the ATF and the full repeal of the NFA — tearing down this unconstitutional regime root and branch and restoring the Second Amendment’s plain promise that the right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.”

The ATF is a rogue, unconstitutional agency with a bloody history of abuse.

• Digitizing nearly a billion firearm records — laying the groundwork for a national gun registry in direct violation of federal law.

• Pretending to be Congress — writing rules with the weight of law, when only elected lawmakers have that authority.

Let’s be clear: the ATF is not broken. It’s doing exactly what it was created to do — disarm law-abiding Americans, one rule change at a time.
